New Australia Rail Service

If you’re a luxury train traveler, in Australia you can now book the Platinum Service on selected Indian Pacific services with Great Southern Rail.
Setting the luxury standard of rail travel in Australia, Platinum Service is “designed to meet the needs of the discerning traveler.” The Tasmanian oak paneled, deluxe Australian-styled cabins feature double or twin beds, high quality fittings and full ensuite bathroom.

Each day begins with a continental breakfast delivered directly to the cabin and later meals are served at the Queen Adelaide Restaurant. At night, the Platinum Service includes turndown service and nightcap.
Platinum cabins are now available on two of the Australia’s greatest rail journeys, The Ghan and the Indian Pacific.
“From the northern tropics to the red centre and the southern ranges on The Ghan, or through the breathtaking Blue Mountains and across the arid Nullarbor Desert on the Indian Pacific, a rail journey is not about the destination, but the journey,”says Great Southern Rail.
