Looking for a new GPS for your mountain sports + travels?  Then think about the All Sports GPS by Satsports, a developer of GPS sports apps.

Satsports has collaborated with GPS manufacturer Holux on the new handheld GPS for sports.

Called ” the world’s first handheld GPS to use Google’s Android operating system“, the All Sports GPS also offers Wi-Fi capabilities.

These combined Android plus Wi-Fi features allow users to download any GPS app from the Android Market wirelessly to the GPS like a phone.

Rugged, highly sensitive, and IPX 6-rated, the All Sports GPS comes installed with sports GPS apps including golf, skiing, snowboarding, biking and geo-caching.

If users train with heart rate monitors, cadence monitors and power meters, the All Sports GPS supports ANT+ and Bluetooth models.

“Instead of replacing the dedicated handheld GPS, we’ve found that smart phones have actually created a market for a product exactly like the All Sports,” says Cory Leis, spokesperson for Satsports.

“As more and more people use GPS sports apps, the more people realize the limitations of their smart phone: they’re fragile, not waterproof, expensive and have a fraction of the GPS sensitivity and accuracy of a dedicated device.”
