Photography holidays are an exciting, emerging trend in mountain travel.

In Europe, Tatra Photography now offers photography workshops including a three-day photography holiday in Germany’s Bavarian National Park and a landscape course in the surroundings of the Tatra Mountains.  An additional week- long break will feature the mountains’ peaks and valleys.

While in Slovakia, the company will offer three-day photography breaks in the Tatra Mountains focusing on the lakes and waterfalls and week long breaks in the peaks and valleys of the mountains.  These packages will  include staying in remote mountain lodges and lake locations for reflection and sunrise shots.

Some 67 of the world’s top nature photographers completed the 14-month project, which included 118 photo assignments to all 48 European countries.

World Tour Comes To The UK

Have you been to the Banff Mountain Film Festival in the Canadian Rockies?

If  you can’t get to the  Rockies, the festival’s 2010 World Tour is now in the United Kingdom.  This popular event for mountain lovers features films on everything mountains from landscapes to cultures to action sports.
