Staying fit for the ski season?  In the UK, skiers can take a Ski Fit training day with the Ski Club of Great Britain.

The Warren Smith Ski Fitness team, in association with the Ski Club of Great Britain, are launching a Ski Fitness campaign.

The first Ski Fitness session for the UK skiing public will be held in London’s Hyde Park in November.

Ski experts have designed the fitness day to help skiers tune up for the winter season and develop their skiing technique.

The program will cover four main areas of ski fitness:

  • Essential pre-ski warm-up;
  • Biomechanics range tests;
  • Ski specific dry land training and
  • After ski cool down + stretch.

The training areas will introduce a dry land training system that covers fitness, muscle development and technique which UK skiers can practice in their backyards.

Skiers will learn their ski specific fitness and what they need to work on before going skiing this upcoming ski season.

The Ski Club of Great Britain Fitness Day will be at 11am-1pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Hyde Park, London.

Participants will meet by the park gates near Hyde Park Corner tube station at 11am.

Tickets cost £15 for members and £20 for non-members.
