Korea will host the 2018 Winter Olympics and more foreign skiers are expected to book ski holidays at Korea’s ski resorts.
The winter guide says the best skiing in Korea is at the east coast resorts which have the highest slopes, the longest season and best snowfalls.
Called the country’s main ski resort, Yonpgyong (700-1,500 metres above sea level) offers good alpine skiing and snowboarding.
Every year, Yongpyong holds the Fun Ski & Snow Festival which offers special events for foreign travelers to compete and discover the resort and its facilities.
Korea tourism experts say Korea’s ski resorts have been a bit of a local secret but skiers all over the world will soon start discovering skiing in Korea.
Free ‘Winter of Korea Awaits’ guide are available at your local Korea Tourism Organization office.
