The French Alps developer recently unveiled its plans for a new development of ski apartments.

Called Résidence Le Tétras Lyre, the development will be eight two- and three-bedroom apartments within a single, traditionally-styled chalet in Les Houches.

The development, scheduled for completion before Christmas 2011, also features underground parking and secure skis and snowboards storage space.

An hour from the Geneva Airport, the rural village of Les Houches at the foot of Mont Blanc has become an increasingly popular ski holiday destination.

The village has included its ski lift on the Mont Blanc ski pass which gives ski travelers access to 354 pistes in the French Alps.

Hiking, climbing, white water rafting, mountain biking and paragliding have become popular summer mountain activities.

Says Richard Deans, sales consultant in MGM’s London office:

“Les Houches has an attractive skiing area which suits everyone, from beginners to experts as well as snowboarders…..Chamonix is only a few minutes away by bus, car or train…The scenery embraces all the mountains of the Mont-Blanc range in one stunning panoramic view which includes L’Aiguille du Midi, Le Mont-Blanc, Le Brévent, La Flégère and Le Glacier d’Argentière.”
