In Jackson Hole, luxury log lodge Bentwood Inn is teaming up with The Wilderness Society to offer winter travelers WinterGreen Vacations.

For guests who stay at  Bentwood Inn from January through March, 2010, the inn will donate 2% of their lodging to The Wilderness Society.  The inn is located down the road from the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and the South Entrance to Grand Teton National Park.

WinterGreen Vacations is a beta-testing program with 17 small, eco-friendly and independently-owned selected inns and B&Bs across the United States.  In 2011, the program hopes to go national with potentially thousands of U.S. inns and B&Bs.

Says owner Keith Sproule:

“We are all committed to protecting these wild, beautiful areas of our country.  And we are honored to work with The Wilderness Society in what we hope will become a major annual program generating strong financial support for their outstanding work.  We’re in Jackson Hole Wyoming, ideally located just minutes from some of the best skiing, hiking and fishing in the country. We are excited by a chance to support this American treasure through WinterGreen.”"
