Dog lover? Then you might fancy staying at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts offering resident hotel dogs known as Canine Ambassadors.

Travelers, who are missing their own dogs or companions, can take walks with the Fairmont dogs for extra security and comfort.

The newest Canine Ambassador is Marcus (above), a Golden Labrador Retriever, known to his friends as Mark.

In fact, Marcus is the director of pet relations at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies.

Friendly, furry and fun-loving, Marcus loves to hike and play fetch with hotel guests.

Here are other Fairmont Canine Ambassadors:

  • Zeus, a Chocolate Labrador at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in California;
  • Smudge, a Golden Labrador Retriever at The Fairmont Algonquin in New Brunswick;
  • Jordy, a Black Labrador Retriever at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu in Quebec;
  • Gracie, a Golden Labrador at the Fairmont Tremblant;
  • Catie, a Black Labrador at The Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston;
  • Volga and Ducia, Labrador Golden Retrievers at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club and
