Planning a ski or snowboarding holiday? If you’re in Britain, you could check out this year’s The British Ski +Board Show, coming up at Birmingham’s NEC, October 29 to 31, 2010.
The world’s ski slopes and resorts, holiday companies, tour operators and independent owners are expected to attend the event sponsored by The Daily Telegraph.
Destinations will include Canada’s Olympic slopes to undiscovered corners of India to popular Swiss Alp resorts.
Some 150+ exhibitors will showcase the latest fashions, trends and innovations. Leading manufacturers will launch new products including skis, boards, boots and bindings.
Experienced instructors will teach ski and snowboard techniques on an indoor skills slope. Specialist athletes from the UK and Europe will give demonstrations.
“The centerpiece of the event will be the gravity defying Big Air Freestyle display team which includes former World and European Champion aerialists and freestylers,” say show organizers.
In the Talk Theatre, special guests and winter sport experts will give workshops and seminars on topics ranging from traveling and fitness to driving and surviving avalanches.
Organizers are also planning to launch a Winter Film Festival which will premiere skiing and snowboarding movies and documentaries.
