The event is coming up at Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne on Sunday, October 9, 2011.
This year’s Wildflower Festival features activities “designed to lighten the body and soul.”
Here are Wildflower Festival highlights:
- Wildflower photography – 9.15 – 11.15am: In morning light, participants will learn about wildflower photography. The introductory session will be followed by a Garden walk, practicing new skills. This workshop is for anyone who has a digital camera and a curiosity about photographing Australian flora.
- Yoga among the wildflowers – 9.30 – 10.30am: In an outdoor wildflower setting, participants will learn how to loosen limbs and quiet minds. The yoga class will focus on relaxation and stretching.
- Fabulously addicted to massage – 11am – 4pm: Relaxing massages will be given at the Gardens.
- Wonderful wildflower walk – 11am – 12 noon: An experienced guide will showcase how to create your own wildflower garden.
- Botanical Illustrators – 12 noon – 3pm: Artists from the The Botanical Illustrators will be throughout Australian Garden creating artwork inspired by wildflowers.
- Blakes Feast – 9am – 5pm. Delicious strawberries and cream will be served with a range of T2 herbal teas.
