Austria’s Gastro Ski World Cup

Gastro Ski World Cup in Austria.

Some 60 celebrity chefs from around Europe will take to the slopes in Tirol, Austria.

On April 11, they will compete in the Gastro Ski World Cup in Ischgl,a giant slalom race against each other for the Chef’s Star Cup.

The competition is part of the end-of-season events in the resort Ischgl and its neighboring villages of Galtűr and Kappl – See in the Paznaun valley of the Silvretta mountains in Tirol, Austria.

An Easter Sunday concert on April 24 will showcase German band Culcha Candela and lead to the main end-of-season Top Of The Mountain concert featuring The Killers on April 30.

Family-friendly neighboring resort of Kappl will host a Spring Festival on April 17, with a live band and children’s party games.

Further down from Kappl at See’s Water Surf contest on Easter Saturday, April 23,  participants will try to cross a small lake on skis, snowboards or any other means.

At the valley’s end, Galtűr will have an Easter snow festival on Easter Sunday, April 24, with family activities and music.
