Kunene has five major community-managed conservancies with a total area of 13,500 sq km and a population of 1,800.

Ownership of Kunene Conservancy Safaris is vested in the community conservancies of Puros, Sanitatas, Okonjombo, Orupembe and Marienfluss.

Conservancy Safaris is expanding its responsible tourism model to include conservancies in the Caprivi-Etosha region of Namibia.
