How To Book Ski Rental Properties

Zanana in Zermatt, Switzerland.
More and more mountain travelers are researching and booking their ski accommodation online.
One of our favorite ski accommodation listing websites is Ski Pad which has upgraded its site with new features.

The Heinz Julen Loft in Zermatt, Switzerland.
The Ski Pad has improved its search facility showing the number of ski properties available in each location and category.
On the individual property listings, website users can find out distances to the closest airports, train stations, gondolas, ski depots and other facilities.
Integrated Google Maps feature satellite views, control over zoom levels and a location search.
Launched in October 2010, www.skipad.co.uk connects chalet and apartment owners and ski travelers.
On the Ski Pad website, skiers and snowboarders can search ski apartment or chalet accommodation in Europe, the US and Canada and rent directly from the owner.
Skiers can choose a property according to their ski trip needs, such as proximity to slopes, transfers and size of group.
The ski accommodation ranges from studio apartments to larger properties (for up to 20 guests) and shared chalet accommodation.
The website also updates daily its special and late offers on the homepage.
Says Gary Hector, Ski Pad founder:
“Owners can now upload video footage of their property and surrounding area, or embed videos from platforms such as YouTube, giving users a full overview of what and where they are booking. It is also clearer to see if each property is fully catered, self-catered, B&B or half-board.”
The website’s new concierge section alerts users if the property owner can arrange additional services including airport transfers, babysitting, beauty treatments and massage, lift passes and ski hire.
Luxury items available on-site, like a hot tub, are also listed.
All accommodation rates are shown in four currencies: British pound, US dollar, Euro and Swiss franc.
